Installation of a real-time clock
You need the SMD IC RTC 4543SB or RTC 4574JE from Seiko-Epson
Additional very thin cables. Solder 6 cm cable to each mentioned pin of the IC, so it may fit between CPU and display controller. Use tape to protect the board from short circuits.

Some experienced users may solder the clock on the IR module, too, and use the lines on the 11-pin-interface as described at connections. You can also add a voltage regulator for 6 volts to use the calculator during recharge!

Overclocking the PC-1403
On the board there is a small blue or silver CERALOCK oscillator with 768 kHz. Change it to one with 1,25 MHz and you have a faster computer!
This will make data transmissions and BEEP faster, too. Cassette recordings will only work with the same computer!

Use the commands LOAD "X:filename.ext" and SAVE "X:filename.ext" to load and store programs. Additional you can load and save RAM portions like machine programs with LOAD M "X:file.ext",startaddress and SAVE M "X:file.ext",startadresse,endaddress!
